My grill was in need of some maintenance. The flame was yellow, sooty and weak. Caused all our food to turn gray and taste bad. My igniter also died about a year ago and I'd been using a lighter to start my grill.
took some time today to put in a new igniter, cleaned the grates and also cleaned out the spider screens.
The new gas grill

Some friends moved out of town and gave us their gas grill. I put together a poor's man patio in the backyard yesterday for the grill to sit in so it wouldn't be in the dirt. The weeds off to the right are on our neighbor's property. I don't think I have ever seen them use their yard.

for a family Fourth of July lunch. The food and fun were enjoyed by all.
Hamburgers with all the trimmings. Hotdogs with all the trimmings. Sides of potato salad and baked beans. Desserts of peach cobbler, ice cream, and brownies. All washed down with iced tea.
